Sintese Cultural

Avadhuta acredita que organizar eventos sociais que priorizam a coletividade com regularidade pode ser uma forma de implementar uma sintese cultural onde todas as culturas tem um espaco para se expressarem. Ruas tomadas pela vivacidade da musica, danca, teatro, caminhadas...para todos vivenciarem a experiencia de integracao. Vamos projetar os grandes ideias de todas as culturas para que todos possam conhecer a diversidade, o multiculturalismo. vamos celebrar a Humanidade e sua Universalidade.

Let the streets become alive with cultural songs, dances, dramas, parades and food stalls for all to see and enjoy. Let us project the great ideals of all cultures for all to see. Forests have been called the skin of the Earth. One way or another we have been skinning the Earth alive and in doing so we have removed the homes of untold billions of our fellow beings. At the same time, a large proportion of humanity have been deprived of the necessary conditions for a dignified life.

The Cultural activities are being built with volunteers and our main goal is to engage youth and the community into Cultural integration and multiculturalism.

Working Process:
"A painter engages with the landscape. A musician engages with the melody. An actor engages with the character. Engaging means choosing to involve oneself in or commit oneself to something. Engagement occurs when we experience a deep sense of caring about the work, a sense that what we are doing is worthwhile in and of itself".
"All work creates something: Artfulness demands that we engage with the process of the work and with its product. The meaning of the work resides in the meaning of what we create".
"All work can be artful, but the artfulness lies in our approach to the work and not in the work itself".

Movement is a form of community activism

Movement is no longer mere expression. It's a form of community activism that is beginning to influence how we organize ourselves. Those who know how to incorporate body wisdom into group dynamics are taking the lead as we gradually move from old models of cog-in-the-wheel actions to an era focused on the development and exchange of knowledge - a knowledge society. Michael Wimmer, Director of EDUCULT, Institute for the Mediation of Arts and Sciences in Vienna, shares that "The 'knowledge society' requires competencies such as quick perceptivity, planning competencies, convincing presentation and negotiation skills, and the social and emotional know-how to behave adequately in a multi-cultural environment." Sounds like InterPlay's skill set to me.

I am thrilled that InterPlay is part of this grand evolution. InterPlayers are beginning to understand the best ways for body wisdom to guide us to our highest good. If joy were the only outcome it would be worth it. But when I check out the growing world of InterPlay online, I know something much bigger is at work. If you check InterPlay's website, you'll see that this movement is widespread, and there are some wonderful tales being told,

Mass movements need to be smart. That's why we're testing an InterPlay community development toolkit workshop at InterPlayce this week. Wheeeeeeee. I'll keep you posted.

O Fórum Social da Juventude é um espaço que tem por objetivo resgatar as reflexões e experiências compartilhadas no Acampamento da Juventude do FSM (Fórum Social Mundial).

Através dos participantes em painéis que tratam da diversidade cultural, meio ambiente e educacao este evento social comunitário, busca ações de transformação social construídas coletivamente.

Mutirao da Comunicacao
LATIN AMERICAN AND CARIBBEAN COMMUNICATION Overview
Latin America and the Caribbean are experiencing a time of deep change. Political and economic transformation generates both opportunities and challenges; however, they don’t seem enough to reduce social differences in our region or to include those who feel as though they are not part of a society.
The means and processes of communication play a fundamental role in speeding up the changes in this scenario and in the spread of knowledge.
What communication do we want? Which challenges do current and future communicators face? What role does mass media play in the construction of a more humane, just and socially aware society?
Come along…Let us debate these and other questions together. This is the theme of the Collective Effort of Latin American and Caribbean Communication.

Forum Social da Juventude prepara para o Forum Social Mundial 2010

Fórum Social da Juventude esta agregando as atividades e os inscritos à programação oficial do evento O Mutirão de Comunicação América Latina e Caribe Mutirao. “Os organizadores do Fórum, estimulados pela temática do Mutirão, propuseram a integração dos dois eventos. É uma oportunidade de reforçar o diálogo com a juventude sobre a comunicação que queremos”, disse Pe Marcelino Sivinski, coordenador do Mutirão.

Local: Pontifícia Universidade Católica (PUC), em Porto Alegre, de 12 a 17 de julho.

O Fórum Social da Juventude é um evento preparatório ao Fórum Social Mundial, cuja realização está previsto para 2010 em Porto Alegre. O evento da juventude deve reunir 500 pessoas em uma programação que inclui oficinas e debates nos Eixos: Cultura, Educacao e Meio Ambiente. As conferências e atividades do Mutirão deixa a programação ainda mais ampla e rica. “Temos muitos jovens já inscritos no FSJ e no Mutirão representando uma grande oportunidade de intercambio, troca de saberes e integracao palnetaria.

O Forum Social da Juventude conta com participantes de diversos paises, teremos oficinas, palestras e atividades artisticas de alto nivel. Tambem abrimos espaco para participacao de artistas ( musicos, poetas, atores, e mais...) expressarem sua visao de mundo atraves da arte no Espaco Alternativo proporcionando um Cardapio Cultural interessante.
O Mutirão de Comunicação América Latina e Caribe é promovido pela Conferência Nacional dos Bispos do Brasil (CNBB), Conselho Episcopal Latino-Americano (CELAM), e pela Organização Católica Latino-americana e Caribenha de Comunicação (OCLACC), em colaboração com outras instituições e redes de comunicação como SIGNIS, UCIP, UNDA-RCR, sindicatos, jornalistas, universidades e faculdades de comunicação de 37 países.
